Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Matho'Mate tutoring. Can't find the answer? Get in touch.
What subjects do you offer tutoring for?
We specialise in SAT Math, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and School Math (Grades 6–12). If you have a specific need outside these, feel free to reach out and we'll do our best to help.
Are sessions 1-on-1 or group-based?
All our sessions are 1-on-1 live tutoring. This lets us completely customise the lesson to the individual student's pace, gaps, and learning style.
How do online sessions work?
Sessions are conducted online via video call. We use a shared digital whiteboard and interactive tools so the experience is as close to in-person as possible.
How often should a student have sessions?
This depends on the goal and timeline. For SAT prep with 3–4 months to go, 2–3 sessions per week is typical. We personalise the frequency during our initial diagnostic meeting.
What is a diagnostic test?
A diagnostic test is a baseline assessment we run at the start to evaluate your strengths and weak areas. It helps us build the most targeted and efficient study plan for you.
How do I book a session?
Just fill in the form on our Contact Us page. Our advisor will reach out to schedule a free phone call to discuss your requirements and next steps.
What are your fees?
Our pricing depends on the course, frequency, and duration of sessions. We discuss this transparently during the initial call — no hidden fees.
Do you offer any guarantee of score improvement?
While we cannot guarantee specific scores, our students consistently report significant improvements. We track progress closely and adjust the program if needed to keep you on track.
Can parents sit in during sessions or track progress?
Absolutely. We hold regular Parent-Tutor Meetings (PTMs) to keep parents informed and involved. Parents are always welcome to participate or ask questions.
